From January 2009, Lyndon School Humanities College is a Trust School. Briefly this means that:
1. The school remains an LA maintained school and will follow Local Authority
admissions procedures and all Local Authority policies.
2. The school will have a written agreement to work with six Trust Partners to
promote a wide range of opportunities for both staff and students.
The partners have been carefully chosen by the Governing body to provide a
range of experiences in both further education and the world of work; they are:
- The Sixth Form College, Solihull
- Birmingham City University
- The John Lewis Partnership, Solihull
- The Solihull Observer Newspaper group
- Solihull Local Authority
- Land Rover
3. All staff will be employed by the Governing body (under national and Local
Authority policies).
4. The overall aim is to raise the aspiration of our student body to be successful at
further and higher educational levels and in the world of work.
