On average about 70% of our students continue their education at either The Sixth Form College Solihull or
Solihull
College, with the remainder entering other colleges, employment or training schemes. At local colleges they build on the firm foundations gained at Lyndon following the ‘A’ level route, vocational courses or a mixture of both. Many of our former students have continued into higher education following University courses.
It is our intention to make Lyndon students aware of the wide range of vocational and academic opportunities available to them at 16 and beyond, by means of a comprehensive Careers Guidance process designed to heighten their awareness of an increasingly complex employment world. Members of the Connexions service are on hand to offer advice on careers, options choice in year 9 and personal issues. We feel that students who are well-motivated and have a clear vision of their future are more likely to extend themselves academically.
